Functional Skills Team recognised!
At the National Standardisation meeting for Functional Skills, at the end of November 2008, BTCV was informed by Phil Balmforth of NCFE that the portfolio model created by our Functional Skills Team in Sunderland, headed by Helen Taylor, is to be used as a marking scheme and evidence base for the delivery of Functional Skills and has been nationally recognised by all 12 awarding bodies as the benchmark for future Functional English qualifications.
The Team has been working with NCFE to develop our Functional English programme for our customers to demonstrate their speaking, listening and communication skills.
